Designed especially for beginners or those returning to yoga. Each 45 minute class includes gentle yet uplifting movement.

Come as you are and leave feeling a little lighter and brighter each week.

Frequently asked >

  • Not at all. This course is designed for beginners and those returning to yoga after a break. Everything is explained clearly and you can move at your own pace.

  • Please bring a yoga mat. You may also like to bring a little water and a blanket for relaxation at the end.

  • Comfortable clothing that you can move easily in is perfect. Leggings or joggers are a good option.

  • That’s completely fine! You don’t need to be. The classes are designed to help you improve mobility and ease stiffness over time.

  • You should be able to get up and down from the floor without assistance - if it’s slow that’s fine. I say this as we do move from pose to pose. The class is for beginners but a level of mobilty will be required.

  • Each 45 minute session includes gentle movement, simple breathwork and a short relaxation to help you feel calmer and more refreshed.

  • As this is a short 4 week course, spaces are booked for the full block and missed sessions can’t usually be transferred. However there may be the opportunity to continue after the 4 weeks and I’ll help with time missed where I can.

  • Yes, there is a small car park in front of the hall as well as on-street parking nearby.

  • "Sarah, - I owe you so much for your excellent tuition and encouragement throughout this last year. I am fitter and stronger than I have ever been and that is all down to you. Thanks a million."

  • "We introduced Yoga to the National Youth Choir of Wales programme for the first time this summer as a fantastic way for our members to start their intensive rehearsal days, getting them into the right frame of mind both physically and mentally. The sessions were a resounding success, all down to Sarah’s expert guidance and ability to tailor the workouts to the participants experience and ability. Over 6 mornings no session was the same and the feedback from our members has been overwhelmingly positive. Thank you so much Sarah and if we’re back in Carmarthen for our residency next year we’ll be sure to give you a call! (Matthew Jones, Senior Producer, National Youth Arts Wales)."

  • "I started yoga with Sarah 3 years ago as a complete beginner. Every week is a different combination of familiar or new moves in a continuous flow. There are always options for whatever level you want to take or how much you are comfortable to do. All moves are counterposed and I have never once felt any next day aches or pains as a result of class but walk out feeling stretched and rebalanced. We have had some wonderful beach classes when the weather is with us and I was lucky enough to get a place at the first Castle session which was amazing. I would be lost without the classes now and feel so fortunate to have such an experienced and knowledgeable teacher who is also a lovely person."

  • I just want to take a minute to let you know how much the yoga sessions have meant to me since I started in January 2020. I started with a firm hatred of exercise and physical activity. When the lockdown started you were an absolute godsend and then I couldn't wait when you restated the Mynydd classes. Much of my newfound dedication is owed to you and your zen, the all-comers welcome attitude and the gentle atmosphere of the lessons. It really has been an absolute pleasure yoga-ing with you (new verb!) and I can only thank you for inspiring me to attend each week (bar ski and covid interruptions). Two years ago I would never have thought I'd have two yoga mats - one for sand and one for best! I've loved your lessons."

  • "I’m a complete beginner and Sarah is a brilliant teacher and very much let’s you set your own pace and suggests other options if the one she is showing is a bit difficult for you. She makes is really clear and easy to follow, I come away feeling amazing and will make sure I can do a class at least once a week."

I’ve been teaching yoga for over seven years, beginning my journey in West Wales in 2016. After building a small, heartfelt community there, I returned home to Devon and slowly found my flow again. I love to share mindful, fluid movement and soothing breathwork.
